And I don't ever want to pretend that I am! I work hard to set myself apart from other photographers - I bring unique things to the table and that naturally means that my style and priorities in photography won't be the best fit for everyone. My style of work is very emotional, moody, candid and documentary. It's intended to induce feeling. My goal is always to bring out your personality and capture 100% real and raw joy and emotions that are completely special to you. Authentic connection = authentic pictures. That means I shoot no two weddings or sessions the same - I invest completely into YOUR story and all my efforts go into capturing THAT (not a Pinterest pose or Celebrity inspired shot). If you dig the unconventional, want a photographer who actually goes above and beyond to serve you (from holding your dress or getting you coffee), don't mind goofing off and leaning into vibrant joy... then we may just be a perfect fit!

What happens if you can’t be at our wedding?
I always plan for every scenario, and if something happens outside of my control and I can't be there in person, I work to get a photographer that I fully trust to capture your day, and I'll still edit the photos to make sure you're getting the full Hannah Ruth experience.
Will you photoshop us?
I believe that every person is intentionally and wonderfully made! For that reason, I will never change or adapt your body to portray an inauthentic you. I understand sometimes insecurities can be there, but know that I will always strive to make you feel incredibly confident in how beautiful you are!
Do you help in the planning process?
ABSOLUTELY. You are not ever just hiring me for the hours with my camera actually in my hand. I am with you every step of the way and helping you plan and think through it all, from your shoes to your timeline to your flowers. I've done a lot of weddings and I want to be resource for you!
